Spring Break Trip Wrap-up

Good morning!

Well, we are leaving today, but before we go, there’s one last fun thing to do that we haven’t done yet during this trip. We’re going to do the Minnie Beach Bash Breakfast at the Beach Club Cafe! We haven’t done this character meal before, so it’s exciting to try another new experience.

We don’t usually do breakfast, but this is a fun way to end the trip since we just have a partial day today. This one is also good if you don’t have park tickets for today. You don’t need to have tickets to go eat at a resort restaurant.

First, let’s quickly finish packing, check out of the room, and go leave our luggage at the Luggage Assist area at the front of the resort. This area can get crowded in the mornings, so leave yourself plenty of time to do this.

Once we’re done with everything today, we will come back here to get our bags and catch the Magical Express bus to the airport. The bus is free for resort guests going to or coming from the Orlando International Airport.

If you have bags that you intend to check for your flight, you can even use their Airport Check-in service when you drop off your bags, where they’ll forward your luggage to the airport for you. It’s only available for certain airlines, so double-check. Make sure they’re clear which bags are for check-in vs carry-on so that they send the correct ones. If the separate Airline Check-in area is open, then you’ll have to do your check-in bags there instead.

If you have carry-on bags, then you have to come back to get those yourself and take them with you on the bus to the airport.

When I was researching the character breakfasts, I discovered that one of my favorite vloggers was going to do the exact same thing! Let’s spend the rest of our trip with him!

(Going to breakfast at Cape May Cafe and wrapping up our trip.)

OK, this is so purely coincidental, but it turns out that he did and said everything exactly as I was going to! Hopefully, we run into him on future trips!

NOTE: The shuttle buses only go between resorts and parks, not from resort to resort. That’s why he had to take the bus to Hollywood Studios and walk over. He could’ve also taken it to EPCOT, and cut through the park and out the back entrance. Note that you can only do that if you have a park ticket for that day.

However, now that the Skyliner gondola is open, it’s way faster to take that directly over to the EPCOT station instead. That’ll drop us off right next to the Beach Club Resort, and we won’t have to walk over from Hollywood Studios like he did. It’s not an issue for folks that don’t have park tickets either since the station is technically outside of the park.

As you saw, we had a great breakfast, did a few last things at EPCOT, and returned for our Magical Express pickup to the airport.

Alas, this trip is over, but we are already planning our next trip! As Mickey always says, see ya real soon! It’s not goodbye!

Hopefully, you had fun on this trip too, and will be planning your next adventure soon as well!

Thanks for coming along!

Some final thoughts…

A Disney or Universal trip is not just about doing rides. Soak in the atmosphere, see the shows, try the different restaurants, and explore all of the other features. All of it together form the unique experience of going to these theme parks vs your neighborhood amusement park. That’s what makes these parks so much more magical. Make sure to get the full experience of them.

There are so many things that we didn’t cover on this trip, despite how long it was. I just highlighted some main rides, restaurants, and features that I felt you should know about, but there are so many other things that you can do. This was meant to just show you what a trip itinerary could include. Hopefully, you learned some things and got some ideas from it.

The videos shown throughout this trip just happen to be good ones I found that fit the narrative. There are plenty of other videos out there if you want to learn more. Of course, things change fairly often at the parks, so keep in mind that what you see now may be different by the time you go.

These places are huge, and you can easily miss lots of fun things, and waste a lot of time (thus, money) by not knowing key tips n tricks. I definitely recommend doing some research and talking to a friend who is very familiar with all of these parks. Better yet, talk to a friend who is a travel agent! Hint, hint!
