National Park Week 2024 Day 6 – Grand Teton National Park!

All of the national parks are beautiful in their own way. I’m not sure I can truly pick a favorite, but Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is way up there on the stunningly beautiful scale! I think what makes this park so amazing is the sudden appearance of the gigantic majestic mountains of the Teton Range right in front of you as you round the curve of the one main road into the park. They’re huge!! These mountains are so majestic and stunning!

Grand Teton offers dramatic mountain vistas and plentiful wildlife viewing, including elk, moose, pronghorn, and bison. The park lends itself to many outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, and boating. We did the scenic 42-mile loop drive through the park, but we also stopped for a light hike and lunch picnic at Jenny Lake and explored the Visitor’s Center and Moulton Barns. Really, the entire route was beautiful. I can’t say enough how stunningly beautiful it is. We joined the many other visitors who pulled over at various viewpoints along the road and took a million pictures.

Grand Teton National Park is basically connected to Yellowstone National Park just north of it on the same main road. If you plan a trip to this area, allocate a few days to do them both. Read about our Yellowstone NP visit here. They’re both amazing and some of our top favorites now. Definitely add these to your must-do list.
