Disney bus between resorts and parks

There are many ways to get around Disney properties and back n forth from the Orlando airport.

Park Buses – free Disney buses that take to between the Disney resorts and parks/Disney Springs.

If your park hopping, you can take these buses between Disney parks as well after a certain time. Check the bus stop boards in front of each park.

You don’t have to be staying at a Disney Resort to take these buses. These are a good way to visit other Disney resorts after your park visit if you are resort hopping.

Skyliner Gondola – free Disney gondola system between certain resorts and the EPCOT and Hollywood Studios parks.

This is a fun new transportation system that anyone can use to visit the resorts and parks along the Skyliner lines. If you’re park hopping between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, you can catch the Skyliner at the stations in front of each park.

Monorail – free Disney monorail between certain resorts and the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks.

This is a fast transportation system that anyone can use to visit any of the resorts and parks along the monorail lines. If you’re park hopping between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, you can take the monorail between them.

Ferries – free Disney ferries that take you between certain resorts and parks.

There are ferries between Magic Kingdom and the resorts around that park, as well as between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and the resorts around the boardwalk area. If you’re park hopping between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, this is a great option. There’s even a small ferry in the lagoon between the countries inside EPCOT. It’s a fun, breezy way to get between these places that anyone can use.

Uber/Lyft – at your own expense. We find that this is usually the cheapest way to get to/from the airport if you have several people in your party. It’s also a good option if you’re staying at a Disney resort but don’t want to wait in the long lines for the Disney buses back to the resort at park closing time.

If you’re taking this to/from the parks or Disney Springs, note that there are designated areas in the parking lots for pickup/dropoff. Look for signs near the front of the parks or ask a cast member where that is, but it’s usually near or past where the Disney bus stops are, so account for additional walking time when ordering your ride.

Private car service – at your own expense. Make sure to book a reputable one.

Personal/Rental Car – at your own expense and you will have to pay for parking at the Disney parks if you’re not staying at a Disney resort or don’t have an annual pass or other affinity group membership that gives you free parking.

Mears shuttle bus – at your own expense. This provides transportation between the Orlando airport and the Disney resorts, and is equivalent to the old Magical Express buses except you have to pay a fee now. They also have express busses, vans, and private cars for different rates.

Disney Cruise Transportation – at your own expense. This is a paid bus service between the Disney resorts or Orlando airport and the Port Canaveral cruise terminal if you’re doing a Disney cruise before or after your Disney World trip. You can, of course, also take your own transportation or Uber/Lyft there.
