We love Disney World! We’ve been lucky. We’ve been able to go several times each year for the past several years to top off our pixie dust as annual passholders. I’ve learned a lot planning these trips that I can share with you.
Nowadays, you really have to do your homework to get the most out of your Disney World trip, but you don’t have to go crazy, either. It may seem like a lot of info here, but it’ll make sense soon. I’ll guide you along, tell you all the tips ‘n tricks I know, and help create the best trip plan for you. The more you know and plan ahead of time, the more fun you’ll actually have. You don’t want to wander aimlessly lost, stuck on every long ride line in the blazing heat, and missing out on the key things to do. There are so many things to do, rides to ride, shows to see, and foods to eat, and you’ll want to do it all. I know most of us think it’s super expensive, and we want to get our “money’s worth.” But where do we even begin?
You need to be aware of the constant events and festivals that could affect crowd levels, plan on Genie+ (replacement of the old FastPass system) if you don’t want to wait forever in ride lines or character lines, reserve dining if you’re going to eat at a sit-down restaurant, book the right type of resort for your family’s trip style, plan your park days so you know what type of tickets to buy, make your park reservations (very important post-Covid change!), plan your transportation for getting around the parks, etc, etc, etc. Some of these need to be done months before your intended trip. It can get overwhelming, especially if this is your first Disney trip or you haven’t gone there for a while.
I’ll try to boil it down for you and help you create a customized plan for your trip. Read my planning a Disney World trip pages to get an overview of the various features.
NOTE: There have been many changes due to Covid, and they are still changing by the day, so you’ll have to make sure to check how they’ll affect your trip. I’ve been keeping up with them, and trip planning is definitely different now.
