Discount Alert: 10% off Disney Gift Cards

Disney Gift Card

Costco member exclusive: 10% off $250 Disney Gift Cards!

If you have a Costco membership, log into your Costco account to save $25 (10%) on a $250 Disney gift card.

It seems to be valid only for the $250 one but this is the largest savings I’ve ever seen for them. Stock up for your next trip or holiday gifts!

These gift cards can be used for Disney tickets, resorts, merchandise, or dining at Disney World, Disneyland California, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Disney stores, and ShopDisney.com.

The cards will be delivered a few hours after purchase as eCards to the email address you give them. You can then re-send it to another address if you’re gifting it to someone else.

If you don’t want to carry multiple gift cards, you can combine them onto one card at the Disney Gift Card site. Some people prefer physical cards instead of eCards. In that case, you can separately buy a physical card with a small denomination, add that to your gift card account mentioned above, and transfer the $250 from the eCards to that physical one.

You’re limited to two cards per membership. It’s not specified how long the offer will last so buy soon if you’re interested. The cards themselves don’t expire once you buy them.

Feel free to contact me if you want me to help you plan your next Disney trip with these gift cards!

Happy shopping!

Happy Birthday Mickey & Minnie

Today’s Trivia: November 18th is celebrated as Mickey and Minnie’s birthdays because they first appeared publicly in the short film “Steamboat Willy” on November 18, 1928.

Disney 100 Celebrations

Walt statue

October 16, 2023 is officially the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. This was the day when Walt and Roy Disney signed the contract to create their first animated short in a little humble studio in California soon after arriving from their hometown in Missouri. The rest, as they say, is history.

To celebrate these 100 years of great stories and characters, Disney debuted a new short film featuring over 500 beloved characters from its long list of featured films. Once Upon a Studio is available now for streaming on Disney+.

In addition, Disney has restored a 4K version of its first full-length feature animation, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, now also available for streaming on Disney+. There is a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version too.

Disney100 on TikTok

TikTok and Disney have partnered together to create a unique Disney100 interactive experience on TikTok that features “unique Disney videos, trivia challenges, ‘Character Cards’ of favorite Disney characters to collect and trade, unique profile badges, and more. The new destination also lets you participate by creating your own videos with custom Disney effects and music. You can engage and connect with Disney fans while reliving favorite memories”. TikTok is also creating a Disney100 Playlist featuring popular hits from the Disney catalog.

Disney100: The Exhibition is traveling to various museums around the world still, currently in Chicago and London. The exhibit features tons of items from the Disney Archives and provides a look at the company’s achievements in films, parks, and many other facets.

Epcot 100

If you’re going to any of the Disney parks worldwide, you’ll see new decorations, events, foods, merchandise, and more commemorating this milestone. Some new rides and attractions are opening and for the next few months, there will be new Disney100 PhotoPass Magic Shots. Join in the festivities!

It’s been an amazing 100 years of unforgettable stories and memorable experiences. Do you have a Disney story?

Happy Disney100!

Disney100: The Exhibition

Disney100: The Exhibition

To celebrate the 100-year celebration of The Walt Disney Company, Disney100: The Exhibition was created. It features ten galleries showcasing the history and evolution of the Disney movies and parks in a 15,000-square-foot exhibit. The Walt Disney Archives is sharing more than 250 of its “Crown Jewels,” rarely seen original artworks and artifacts, costumes and props, and other memorabilia.

We finally caught it a few days ago in Philadelphia. It was really neat to see some never before seen props and learn more about everything that the Disney company has done over the years. As you’ve probably noticed by now, we are big fans of the Disney parks and movies and have even been to the Disney Museum in San Francisco, but we still learned some new things. This is like a small subset of the archives there.

Mickey Mouse display

It is definitely a must-visit for any Disney fan if you’re nearby. I wouldn’t say to make a big trip of it, but if you’re going to visit other sites in the area, it’s a cool stop to include in your itinerary. We went through it in about 1.5 hours but you can take longer if you stop to read every single display slowly.

In the United States, this exhibit debuted in Philadelphia last February but will end its run soon on August 27, 2023. It is supposed to travel to Chicago and Kansas City next.

Internationally, it debuted in Munich and is scheduled to move to London this October.

These are some pics from our visit, but I took a ton more that I’ll post on my Instagram (Adventures_By_Anne). I won’t post everything so that I don’t spoil it for you though. Check it out!
