2023 Cross Country Road Trip – Day 14

Day 14

We’re going to Seattle! This is our first time going to Washington State so we’re very excited!

There it is! Beautiful skyline!

First, we drove around the city to see some iconic sites.

Of course, while in Seattle, we had to go to Pike Place Market! We spent the afternoon exploring all the yummy foods around the market. Well, we couldn’t eat all the foods, as much as we wanted to, but we walked all over the market to look at everything we could. Neat place!

We tried a sampler of four different seafood chowders, a Polish Pastry, and an Asian dumpling soup at least. Everything was delicious!! Wish we had more stomachs. We’ll be back!

There are other fun things to see in the market too. It’s not all food.

The infamous Gum Wall is down in a small alley below the market. We checked it out real quick but ewwww. Not sure what to think. What about you?

After we finished exploring Pike Place Market, we drove around Seattle a bit more and decided to go over to Redmond to try to find Microsoft. I know it’s just a building but we were just driving around for the night so I figured that was a possible thing to do. LoL. We weren’t really hungry after all of that food we ate at the market, so we just shared a bowl of pho for a light dinner while we were over in Redmond.

This was just a quick overview of Seattle today and I know there are way more things to see and do around the city, so we’ll definitely be back. Tomorrow, we’re off to Olympic National Park!
